Getting Better

The pics show the face I put on the legs and the pocket holes.
The pocket holes are not to spec, But it was the best I could do with what I had to work with as far as tools.
I put the Shim and Booster on the leg to show what it will look like after I finish it.
I'll have to do some putty work here and there to make the legs as smooth as possible.
I attached the leg to R2 to see what he looks like with 1 leg so far.
I've still got the skin the back of this leg, But I want to stop on this leg, So I can start on the other.

Looks good enough to me!!! If something isnt to perfect specs, will anyone really notice? UI doubt it!!!! But, if some anal-retentive builder starts picking out little goofy things that arent really important, that smack him in the back of the head!!!! LOL If youre impressed, then thats all that matters!!!! By the way, I like your R2 alot!! But my opinion dosent matter anyway. The leg looks great, regardless of what anyone says!!!!

John,
Yours and Jason's and Victor's opinions are the most important to me.
I have a bad habit of looking at the bad spots of what I build instead of the good parts.
I'll be glad to get these legs finished, Becuase they have been alot of work.
I won't get much more done this week due to work and I have a 501st meeting this Saturday.
But I'll be back at it soon.

Beer and potato salad...count me in!!!!!

COnsidering the differences you see int he R2's in the movies..a few inconsistancies here and there don't hurt at all. Looks great..to be honest Im not sure where the 'pocket holes' are...looked closely and you have me fooled!

Oh..I know where you mean now...they look great to me! Mine were tricky considering the cut's weren't great and my cacking didn't work out too well. I didn't worry much..again..when I weather it will be all grungy and there are greeblies that go in them anyways.

I'd be surprised if the most experienced builder could spot that one!

HEHE, The salad is her trade mark and everyone loved it.
I've got some time to work today on the other leg. I don't know how much I'll get done, But hopefully it turns out OK too.
