Radar Eye

Got the Eye painted, But I can't set it yet.

The paint is still soft and I don't want to get fingerprints in the paint.

Once it dries, I'll be able to to set and give it the 1st wax job. Once it's waxed that dark luster will appear and it looks alot different.

Looking good!!!!!! What kind of wax are you using? I'm on my Radar Eye right now, it's resin. I was just going to put 2 or 3 coats of clear-coat after the paint. I heard that will help the color come out more, and well, for the shine of course!!! LOL

On the Radar eye I have about 5 coats of blue and 4 clear coats.
After it sat 1 month, I used Black Magic liguid car polish and it got a real nice shine.
What paint are you using?
I had no luck with the Krider paint method.

Calvin, sorry I'm answering you so late. I'm using Duplicolor"Metal Specks" Ocean blue paint. I will wait to see after 3 coats of it if I should add a fourth. But, I will probably use 3 coats of clear coat. I just sprayed a piece of scrap metal today without any primer. I like it already. I'm waiting now for the second coat of primer to dry before I paint the first coat of blue on. I'll send you a pic or two if you want, and I will also be sharing with the Builders group as well!!!!

Hey Calvin, I forgot!!!! I took a pic of the cans of paint, primer, clearcoat, and the aluminum color earlier today. Am I able to send them to you on here? Or, do I have to send them to your email addy? Thanks.
