Here's a small video of the system at work. The only thing I don't like about it so far is the noisy Vex motor.
Looks cool!!! You triggered my jealousy gland again. :pGreat work!Jason
Thanks Dude, But I'm have to say it failed!!!!CRAP!!!2 failures in a row, AURGH!!!The lift works GREAT and it fits inside the dome with room to spare. But it has grown some weight and I'm not happy with it now.I figure with the added weight, The dome may have a lope to it and not turn smoothly. So back to the drawing board again.Calvin
maybe re-engineer it in aluminum instead of using the heavy steel vex parts.
Dang...Wasit Edison who tried lke thousands of tries to make a light bulb work...and after failing so many times a colleague asked him why he wasn't discouraged? He replied something like...all my attempts that didn't work wereen't failures becasue now I know 10,000 ways not to make a light bulb. Something like that.http://www.wilywalnut.com/Fail-Fast-Success-Failure-Wonderful-Edison.htmlYou'll get it next time. Now you know how NOT to make a periscope lift. :)Man I sould like a hippie this morning. Jason
Thanks Guys!!I started today on another lift.I'll post what I have done.Calvin
