The post below is a good example of why everyone should check my blog for updates.
The lift was not working as smooth as I wanted, So I started over.
I didn't understand how the bearings worked inside the slide until I slept on it.
The bearing have to float inside the slides for a smooth flow. I had restricted the bearing from floating and it was stiff.
I also had it setup so that only 1 slide provided movement and that was another mistake. Now there are 2 slides in motion, 1 moves 4 inches and the other moves 3 inches. The Periscope itself is 6-1/2 inches tall, So I will clear the dome at the top by 1/2 inch. As I tweak the setup I may get more height out of the Periscope.

I have it all done except fot the drive motor and I got some of it together today.

Sorry I have'nt been talking much, I'm trying to finish R2 and helping Brenda with R3. We were invited to be part of MegaCon this coming year and I'd like to have both droids moving.
So, Work Work Work is all I've been doing.

Sweet Job man!!! I just recently sold my periscope, I didnt really need it yet. I will probably go with one of Keith's resin ones later. I hope you gt it right where you want it. Looks like hard work!!!

Thanks guys...baby and wife are good. Man that kid likes to poop..then get new diaper..then pee while I'm changing him..then get new diaper then throw up..then get changed again!
We are tired...wife mostly! Kiddo likes to stay up all night and sleep all day. I've been getting up with our 2 year old..at 7am. Tiring but easier than being up every night with a newborn.
Going to see Clone Wars tomorrow!! Break will be nice.
