In the movie at the cave with the Ewoks, R2 gets zapped by one of the
Storm Troopers and goes CRAZY. As the dome turns you will see this red light
flashing.
I had planned to place a small LCD screen in this area so it would flash red
and if you push one of the dome buttons it would show pictures and video.
That will have to come later.
These two pics show the light off/on. When it's off the panel is like a mirror
and you can't see inside the dome. The pics are kinda crappy, But you get the idea.
And the LEDs don't show that bad in person, The camera makes them really show up.

I am pretty sure that area is just aluminum on mne (ANH paint scheme..or one of them anyways). I'll have to check.

I forget the actual name of the indicator light, but I have the panel that came with the psi lens' that I ordered a while back from Andy. Nice work!!!

I got that piece from Andy too.
But on the outside I used some 2 way mirrored plastic because my dome is shiney.
The piece I got from Andy I used on the inside to help difuse the leds.
I'm going to order a new led setup that will make it brighter.
